About Jackson Department of Transportation

AI was contracted to work with the Dept. of Transportation and the KY Dept. of Engineering and Contract Administration to perform A/E services for the construction of a new District 10 Office building in Jackson, Kentucky. The new building is approximately 25,000 SF of new office space located on a 6.5 acres lot. The single-story building consisted of structural metal stud load bearing walls with a masonry brick veneer, energy efficient aluminum doors and storefront punched openings. The roof was constructed with light gauge metal trusses, 1 ½” metal roof deck, rigid insulation and standing seam metal roofing. The building was designed and constructed as a LEED certified building as per HPBS (Kentucky High Performance Building Standards).
