Republic Plaza



Republic Plaza is a renovation of an existing downtown landmark Class C office building into a Class B+ space to house a call center and data center for Republic Bank.

Levy Building



Built in the 1890s, the Levy Building had not been fully utilized for years.  AI developed designs for the top floors that emphasized the historic elements, especially the building's unique windows, brickwork, and paneling originally adorning the conference room space, to create loft apartments that would appeal to the upper demographic urban dweller.

 

The rehabilitation consisted of the common areas, elevator lobbies, and the main floor lobby which were fully updated to ensure an elegant statement to visitors and tenants.  The project enabled investors to reach their desired return and continued the active use of a historic landmark into the 21st century.

Actor's Theatre



AI designed twelve apartments on three floors of a historic six story building in Louisville, Kentucky.  The project was commissioned by the Actor's Theatre of Louisville for the purpose of housing actors who temporarily reside in the city while performing for the company throughout a performance season. 

 

The project won acclaim by several historic organizations.

JC Strothers Elementary, an abandoned school  from the late 1800s, was transformed into a 24 residential rentals units financed with both low-income and historic tax credits. The project required coordination of Kentucky Housing Corporation guidelines and Historic Rehabilitation guidelines to achieve the owners' objectives.



The rehabilitation project further enhanced the redevelopment of a historic neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky.
